Site Manager

Qualifications, Experience & Skills
We are looking for candidates who:

  • Have a proven track record in commercial site management
  • Experienced in managing a variety of structural building types to a high standard of finish, including pre-cast, steel frame and timber frame construction, on-site trade experience
  • Seeking a role with responsibility and reward
  • Eligible to work in NZ
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good time management and the ability to largely self-manage and run own projects
  • Able to work with a high-performing team with an enviable record of successful delivery 

In this role you will report to our Contracts Manager and be primarily responsible for:

  • Making sure all people on site return safely home to their families every day (Health & Safety)
  • Coordinate trades and materials efficiently and be key point of contact for subcontract relationships
  • Effective communication with the Contracts Manager, QS team, external professional design teams, Council and other stakeholders
  • Organise site meetings, record keeping and effective use of our project management software (training provided)
  • Ensure QA is completed on all projects
  • Manage programme schedules, keep withing budget and drive projects to completion with minimal defects

Quantity Surveyor

Qualifications, Experience & Skills
We are looking for candidates who:

  • Are degree or diploma qualified in Quantity Surveying
  • Have a minimum of 4 years of experience as a QS within commercial construction in New Zealand
  • Familiar with the NZ Building Code
  • Experience working with a main contractor preferable
  • Seeking a role with responsibility and reward
  • Eligible to work in NZ
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good time management and have the ability to largely self-manage and run own projects
  • Able to work with a high-performing team with an enviable record of successful delivery 

In this role you will report to our Cost Manager and be primarily responsible for:

  • Preparation of estimates and job costings
  • Price and prepare client variations
  • Preparation of purchase orders
  • Liaison with designers and clients
  • Management of supplier and sub-contractor supply agreements
  • Managing and concluding final accounts
  • Become an effective user of our construction management software (training provided)
