Formed in 2007, Construction Advantage Limited is a commercial project and construction management company, offering highly integrated services across the full property and infrastructure lifecycle.

Core skills in programme and project management, cost consultancy, and construction delivery thrive within our collaborative and entrepreneurial culture. We constantly strive to find better and more innovative solutions to property challenges.

Our vision is to be a $20 million turnover project delivery company sticking to our rules by 2020. Honesty and clear communication are fundamental to everything we do, and our goal is to be the most respected project delivery company in the Waikato.
Our mission is to provide total project delivery for all commercial construction projects, and we value:
  • Working with good people
  • Delivering successful projects
  • Using creativity and innovation at all times
We predominantly offer project delivery in Cambridge and Hamilton – but happily broaden our scope to other regions when required.

Risk management

Risk is best proportioned to the right person, so many times in a construction project the risk is contributed to the incorrect party with dire consequences, as the risk was not managed correctly. The incorrect party may not have the necessary skills, finance or experience required to take ownership of that risk.

A risk register and treatment schedule is produced and updated during the project. Using this schedule, all potential risks are identified, analysed, evaluated and the treatment of the risk is seen from an early stage and can be managed appropriately.
Potential risks
  • Health and safety
  • Finance
  • Escalation
  • Ground conditions
  • Unknown services
  • Design and scope creep
  • Resource consent requirements
  • Council consent requirements
  • Construction costs
  • Weather
  • Programme delays
  • Tenants
The above and more are managed through our Risk Register.

    health and safety

Our health and safety policy includes robust procedures developed on a variety of projects, regulated by WorkSafe New Zealand. Our policy is implemented daily to ensure that all of the site team are aware of the days' work and hazards that may arise.

With a project of this scale it is imperative that a plan of this nature is in place, tailored to suit the specific project. With the introduction of the New Zealand Health and Safety at Work Act 2015, responsibility for the plan rests with the Project Manager and ultimately the Director of Construction Advantage Ltd. In this essence Construction Advantage Ltd protects the developer from the Health and Safety risk.

We are members of Site Safe and undertake our safety training through Site Safe and Safety 'n' Action who are Fonterra's accredited training provider.
